SAMHSA funds the Technical Assistance Coalition (TAC) to develop and promote web-based training and technical assistance on a range of policy issues in state and local behavioral health systems. The TAC focuses on promoting and enhancing the Mental Health Block Grant and the programs and services it supports for individuals with Serious Mental Illness and Serious Emotional Disturbance (SMI/SED). The TAC coordinates several webinars each year on a broad range of topics, which are designed to support state mental health systems in meeting the needs of individuals with SMI/SED. The coalition’s webinars and publications are housed on the website of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD).
